ABOUT // Mission Statement / Vision / History / Financials
100% of the finances raised directly through our larger scale exhibition either by sale of art and/or via private donors contributes directly into supporting the ministries that we work with during our overseas component of Lost in Traffik. If there are two ministries, then the distribution is accordingly 50/50. (The only exception to not giving 100% of the finances from our larger scale exhibitions to the partnered ministries is when we have had to loan money for our set-up costs where by the re-payments would be taken out from the sales and/or private donations. Our heart and vision is to have all set-up costs covered before the opening night to avoid this circumstance) Outside of our larger scale exhibitions we continue to run smaller screenings of the art so that advocacy, education and finances are continually being raised so that the ministry is supported as consistently as possible. The finances are used via direct communication between the leadership of Lost in Traffik, YWAM Perth and the partnered ministry. They are used in practical ways, so that those who are most afflicted (who are our very reason to do any of this) are served to the highest degree possible. This will usually take the form of projects already taking shape within the partnered ministry, and which are in need of both financial and hands on service. With the establishment of our website, we have the ability to make the images from our exhibition(s) available for all people across the globe. The breakdown of these finances looks slightly different, with the focus remaining the same. The breakdown and distribution of the finances when referring to sales and/or private donors (unless specified otherwise) on this website are as follows: 60% > Ministries in SE Asia working with the aftercare and rehabilitation of children who have been trafficked and/or with education and prevention work targeting those most at risk. 20% > Financing future exhibitions and associated needs. 20% > Scholarships for high school students to have exposure through overseas missions trips. This is conducted and run through Youth With A Mission (YWAM) Perth. All those involved with Lost in Traffik are either full time volunteers with Youth With A Mission Perth or temporary volunteers during the course of each individual project. Either way, no finances are distributed to the artists for their contribution. |
