ABOUT // Mission Statement / Vision / History / Financials
It all started with simplicity, and that is precisely how we intend to head into the future. We often associate simplicity with an absence of depth, but I have discovered the contrary. The more I attempt to do things my way, and see things through my eyes, the more complicated and shallow things become. Our quest began with three best mates sitting around, chatting about the possibilities of life and the intrigue of what could be done across our globe in service to those silenced under oppression. This wasn’t some deep theological discussion about the doctrinal breakdown of why we should get out there and offer our lives for the Good News. This was simply asking ourselves the question“Why wouldn’t I do this?” We would chat (and still do) about the fact that if Jesus were here, He would be trekking with us on these trips… He would be heading them up. He was word made flesh and that’s good enough for us. We talked about what it would look like to combine passions in life such as art, photography, and advocacy, and use them for the greater good of another. Allowing others to be involved, in the short term, by creating international missions trips focusing on an area of social injustice. The thoughts ran wild, and the stirring deep in our spirits began. That was back in October 2005, and I have discovered that whatever is truly worth pursuing in life will take time. The establishment of Lost in Traffik has taken time, and it’s purely by grace that we exist. I never want to forget those long talks that we had about the excitement and passion that stirs when you abandon the box, and allow concept to become conviction. This is the beginning, and as with life, this is a story still being written. Below are our past newsletters that are available for download:
